News & Events DetailInterview Podcast with Dr. Dan Baker
For Immediate Release Levitin Group releases an audio podcast interview with Dr. Dan Baker.
PARK CITY, UT -- As part of Levitin Group’s mission to continually train, elevate and motivate our internal staff, we have partnered with renowned psychologist Dr. Dan Baker to apply his powerful life lessons to our team.
Dr. Baker, director of the Life Enhancement Program at Canyon Ranch and co-author of the bestselling book, What Happy People Know, recently met with Levitin Group team and shared his expertise and passion for Applied Positive Psychology.
In his words, “Positive Psychology is studying what’s right with humanity; understanding how and why people function at their best and what we all can do to attain personal excellence and high performance.”
In this lively interview, Dr. Baker discusses how reactive, “survival” thinking inhibits our ability to become creative problem-solvers (an absolute must for salespeople) and shares tips for elevating ourselves into the higher-functioning areas of our brains. This process is especially helpful for those of us who may be in a sales slump and need to drastically improve our mindset. “There’s no place for a ‘what did I do wrong’ mentality. It’s what you do right that ultimately will bring home the paycheck.”
Dr. Baker also discusses the “journalist approach” to coaching; a powerful and effective way for managers to provide constructive feedback to salespeople after a tour. This approach actively engages the salesperson, who becomes the catalyst for their own positive change.
